Who will perform my surgery?
Dr. Fett personally performs all laser eyelid and skin resurfacing procedures, so you get the benefit of his years of experience with these procedures.
Is the procedure painful?
During the procedure, you will receive a “local”
anesthetic along with intravenous sedation. This puts you in a “twilight” or partial sleep state so that you are not in any discomfort during the procedure.
What is the recovery like?
Most people who have experienced these laser procedures report minimal discomfort during the recovery process. Most of the signs of laser eyelid surgery performed on the internal part of the lower lid disappear in about one week. Most signs of laser eyelid surgery performed on the external part of the lower lid disappear in about two weeks. Most of the redness associated with laser eyelid surgery performed on the upper lid disappears in thirty days. The patient is usually able to return to work wearing makeup, in about two weeks.
Are the procedures covered by insurance?
Many eyelid problems which can be repaired by laser are covered by insurance. Cosmetic procedures are often covered if they are a results of an accident, a disease or a birth defect.
Where is the procedure performed?
The procedure is performed in our AAAHC and Medicare certified Outpatient Surgery Center, located in the community of West Los Angeles. The center is specially designed for complete patient care and comfort.
